The Dropdown Question lets respondents select one response option from a list of options shown in a dropdown menu. Adding a dropdown to your campaign has many benefits, from minimizing the space you will use to making your campaign simpler and more organized.

To add a Dropdown question to a survey:

  1. On the campaign’s primary questions page, expand the + Add New Question menu, then select Dropdown.

  1. Type the question and format it as necessary using the formatting tools.

  1. Under the variable portion of the question, insert each response option that should be available for the dropdown menu.

    1. To add additional response options, click the blue + Add New text below the responses.

    2. To allow the respondent to select several options from the dropdown list, toggle ON the Allow Multiselect toggle.

  1. At the bottom of the question editor, mark the question as required (toggle on) or optional (toggle off) for the respondents.

In the presentation of dropdown questions, a horizontal bar graph takes center stage, showcasing each option available in the dropdown menu alongside the corresponding number of responses for each option. Below this graphical representation lies a supplementary table providing the same dataset. This table details the response options from the dropdown menu, along with the percentage of respondents who selected each response and the actual count of respondents for each option. This dual-display approach offers both visual and tabular insights into the distribution of responses, facilitating a comprehensive understanding of participant choices.
