Tier managers play a crucial role within the XMP, responsible for managing specific tiers and overseeing the users within those tiers. This guide outlines the roles and responsibilities of a tier manager.
Assigning Tier Managers
Tier managers can be assigned by roles above them, such as organization or account managers, as well as admins. A new account can be created for a tier manager, or the tier manager role may be assigned to an existing user. Additionally, a tier manager can manage an unlimited number of tiers. This flexibility in assigning tier managers ensures that individuals with the appropriate knowledge and authority are in charge of specific tiers.
User Management
One of the primary responsibilities of tier managers is the management of users within the tiers they oversee. This includes where account settings allow, creating and deactivating users, and keeping their account settings and statuses up-to-date.
Profile Editing
Tier managers have the ability to edit user profiles. This includes changing profile fields, such as descriptions, titles, contact information, and addresses. They can also manage users' social media connections. Additionally, they can utilize lock settings on profile fields to maintain the integrity of their users' profiles.
Moving Users
If the account settings allow, and a tier manager is responsible for multiple tiers, they can efficiently move users between tiers. This flexibility is valuable for maintaining the account’s structure without the oversight of an account manager.
Tier Creation
In hierarchical setups that support it, tier managers can create new tiers within the tier(s) they manage. This capability is particularly useful for adapting the hierarchy to evolving needs. For example, if a branch adds new teams, and teams are included in the hierarchy, the branch’s tier manager can add new teams.
Review Management
Tier managers can respond to reviews on behalf of the users they manage. This allows for timely and organized communication with reviewers and a positive online presence.
Tier Manager Limitations
It's important to note that while tier managers have various management capabilities, they do not have the authority to modify campaigns in their accounts. This function remains with roles higher in the hierarchy, like account and organization managers.
Tier managers are integral to maintaining a well-organized and efficient hierarchy within accounts in the XMP. Their responsibilities cover a wide range of user and tier management tasks, ensuring your organization operates smoothly and effectively.
