Flagging Reviews (for Removal)

Within the XMP and on professional pages on Experience.com, individuals such as visitors, managers, and users can flag a review for removal. This feature serves as a mechanism to report reviews containing abusive, restricted, or prohibited content. Once a review is flagged, it undergoes a review and verification process by an Experience.com admin. Following the review, the admin can either restore the flagged review to a professional's profile or archive it, resulting in the permanent removal of the review.

How to Flag a Review for Removal- Logged-in Users/Managers/Admins

Before flagging a review for removal, it is important to thoroughly read and understand the review removal policy. This step ensures clarity on whether the flagged review aligns with the criteria for removal. Reviews that do not meet the review removal policy standards or lack restricted/prohibited content will be restored to the page they were on before the flagging process. When you have identified a review that should be flagged for removal:

  1. Click the flag icon at the bottom of the review.

  1. Select the reason you believe the review should be flagged from the following options:

    1. Inappropriate Content

    2. Abusive Content

    3. Threatening Content

    4. Spam Content

  1. In the comments box, enter the reason the review should be permanently removed from the profile, including as much detail or context as necessary to accurately describe the reason.

  1. Click the blue Report button to submit the removal request.

When a review is flagged for removal, email notifications are sent to the key stakeholders involved:

  1. the reporter, who flagged the review

  2. the professional to whom the review pertains

  3. the professional's manager(s)

Each stakeholder receives email notifications informing them that the review has been flagged for potential removal. This ensures transparent communication and keeps all relevant parties informed about the status of the flagged review.

Each flagged review undergoes a review process within the abusive reviews management queue. Experience.com team members review the flagged request and decide on whether to permanently remove the review (archive) or reinstate it back on the professional's profile (restore). While awaiting deliberation, the review is temporarily removed from public view both within the XMP and on the professional's public profile.
