Test Survey Experience
Before activating a survey campaign and engaging with live data, ensuring a seamless and error-free survey experience is paramount. To facilitate this, the XMP offers a crucial feature – the ability to test the survey without activating the campaign.
Similar to proofreading an email, this testing phase allows creators to preview the campaign emails and experience the survey firsthand. Notably, these tests are designated as "testers" and do not contribute to the survey statistics, safeguarding the integrity of the data. This invaluable testing option provides campaign creators with the confidence that the survey functions as intended, guaranteeing a smooth and accurate experience for respondents once the campaign goes live.
How to test a campaign:
Click on the Publish or Activate button on the top right.
You will be prompted to test your campaign communications before you activate.
When the menu expands from the right side of the page, enter your email and up to nine other emails to receive a test email (and survey). Then, check the checkboxes next to the emails that you want to receive and test.
Pro Tip!
Check ALL the checkboxes and test ALL of your campaign emails to ensure they are free of any errors and ready for delivery to campaign recipients.
Click the blue Send button.
After initiating the test email, be on the lookout for an email arriving from Cxteam@experience.com. This email will provide a preview of the content that is set to be dispatched to campaign recipients. While dynamic fields won't be populated during this test phase, it offers a crucial opportunity to proofread and verify the accuracy of the remaining content.
Within one of the emails, you'll find a button or link. Clicking on it will grant access to a preview of the survey, mirroring the respondent's view. This preview enables you to navigate through every question, providing the chance to thoroughly review and interact with the survey's structure.
Importantly, the responses you select during this test will not be recorded or stored anywhere. The test link is solely designed to simulate the respondent experience, allowing you to ensure the survey functions seamlessly and without any issues before officially launching the campaign.
